Very informative. I agree, I always feel better after have some light exercise. Unfortunately when your job requires a lot of standing, walking, lifting, it sometimes feels like you already had the workout. Which to a certain extent is true. I once had a sit-down job and I gained weight because of it. So, everyone get moving!

Thank you for publishing these insights. Many are 'common sense' yet especially with thoughts arising so often, it is such an important reminder. Each rule seems to interrelate to each of the other rules. I only a beginner yet find the practice, when I can suspend any anxiety or hurried feelings I have, to be deeply relaxing and I can feel this in my body.

The "up close fighting" that is part of a good Tai Chi training program could be the answer to some of your questions. Tai Chi can effectively teach you how to control an opponent who is much larger or stronger using little or no strength. It teaches principles of leverage as well as pressure points that can help to effectively subdue an attacker. However, not all Tai Chi that is taught today emphasizes the self-defense aspect as the founders of Tai Chi originally intended. Check out our youtube channel for some examples of Tai Chi self defense applications. In addition to learning how to "grapple on your feet" Tai Chi is also known for its health benefits. Thank you for your comment.
