This is great! I made a large jug of dit da jow over 25 years ago which I've only used myself and sparingly. I found out about dit da jow from a fellow martial artist friend who got me a "recipe" from an old Chinese lady with whom he was friends. She wrote it down in Chinese and told him it was for a "dit da yuen ball" which I was to divide up in quarters and dissolve in a large bottle of Gin or Vodka, keep it in a cool dark place and turn the bottle upside down regularly for at least a month or so before using. It has worked well for me over the years, but I could never find ANY Chinese person who could understand what I was saying when I asked about a dit da yuen ball and I lost the piece of paper long ago. So, many thank to you, xie xie ni, xie xie ni, Wong Lao Tzu! For my next batch I'm going to use my teacher's teacher, Master Yang Jwing-Ming's recipe. We always had a jug of that stuff in Jeff's office which they'd add alcohol to from time to time.
