Choy Li Fut kung fu was founded in 1836, by Chan Heung. The late Great Grandmaster Hu Yuen Chou was a disciple of Chan Yiu Chi, the founder's grandson. This rare footage shows Hu Yuen Chou teaching the practical fighting applications of Choy Li Fut.
Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong has been teaching traditional Choy Li Fut and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan for over 40 years. In 2010, White Dragon Schools hosted the 25th annual seminar series in sunny San Diego. Traditional forms training included Double Daggers, Choy Li Fut's Iron Arrow Fist, Hook Spear, and Tai Chi's Twin Straight Swords.
Weapons training is the preferred form of weight training in the Choy Li Fut kung fu system. Each type of weapon builds specific strength and coordination in the arms, and is taught with the practical applications for self-defense.
